I used to hold really limiting beliefs about what was possible for my own life.
This often came from other people projecting their beliefs onto me, as I was consistently told what I wouldn’t be able to do and what wasn’t possible for me.
It’s not that these people meant to cause me any harm. They were just passing along what they’d been taught themselves and what they believed to be true.
It’s so easy to believe what someone else says, especially when they’re in a position of authority. The thing was, I did take the beliefs that they passed on to me as my own truth… at least at first.
Then, one day, I just decided I was done listening to them. I just knew there was a better life out there waiting for me. I had a vision of the life that I knew I wanted to live, and it was the complete opposite of what my reality actually looked like back then.
The problem was, I didn’t even know what the level of health and success I wanted truly looked like, as I’d never experienced them. I also didn’t know anyone who’d already accomplished this before me, so it felt like I was on a journey all alone.
I was determined to figure it out, and this is when my “connection exercise” really came into play!
A “connection exercise” is all about creating a new identity for yourself. It’s simple, yet it’s one of the fastest ways to get from where you are now, to where you want to be.
