I know firsthand what it’s like when one thing goes wrong in life, and then it feels like everything just continues to pile up from there. In today’s video, I’m sharing my process, i.e., my five steps to overcome challenges—and make life easier!
Maybe you lost your job or received a large, unexpected bill without having the funds to pay for it. Then your dog gets sick, a loved one ends up in the hospital, and just to put the icing on the cake, you stub your toe or spill your coffee (before you even took the first sip!) on the way out the door.
We’ve all been there in one way or another, right?
I remember when…
- My health was at its absolute lowest point, and then I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency, taking me even lower.
- We were in a financial hole, I was unable to work, and we came close to losing our home.
- Mike was overcoming a serious addiction to opiates, which caught me completely off guard.
…and this was all happening at the same time.
I get how easy it is to feel completely alone and even embarrassed by your struggles, like nobody could possibly understand.
But here’s the piece that’s so easy to forget: people want to help! If you’re going through a hard time right now, I also want to encourage you to reach out to your loved ones for help. I used to hold this belief that I could and should do everything on my own and that asking for help somehow made me weak, but then I realized the opposite is true.
The truth is, while people want to help, they often don’t know how to show up for you unless you specifically ask for what you need. Just think about it: if someone you love asked for your help, you’d happily be there for them, right? So why wouldn’t the same be true for you as well?
If you struggle with feeling like you’re always stuck in a tough place in life, how about sharing the five steps to overcome challenges in this video with someone close to you and asking for help to see them through? This will help get you to the other side, because life isn’t always meant to be hard.
The most beautiful thing about putting my five-step process into place is that the more you practice it, the easier it will be for you to overcome life’s inevitable challenges.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- My exact, five-step process that I use to overcome any hard seasons of life
- Why creating awareness is absolutely key to kick-starting change
- How to get back up and come back even stronger when life knocks you down
- Why having a plan is so important, and how to eliminate any overwhelm
The next time life happens and challenges arise, remember to lean into this process. With time and practice, it will only become easier and easier. You’ve totally got this!
